An electronics and automotive product management, marketing and branding expert, he was awarded a silver medal at the Lockheed Martin innovation competition 2010. He was awarded the Lockheed Martin 2008 India Innovation silver medal. His latest product is the PoweredEthernet™ line of Power Over Ethernet products which began with the world’s first high power P.o.E. splitter and which has been used on all seven continents, including Antarctica.
He is a Past President of the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
A frequent flier with over 1,500 flights and 4 million miles under his belt, he started Bangalore Aviation, an aviation-oriented website that has grown to be ranked in the top 15 global aviation sites. He is widely considered an irreverent expert on Indian aviation, being rated sixth on Mashable's global list of aviation journalists on Twitter. He has also contributed to leading global publications and sites like Aviation Week, Conde Nast Traveller India, The Economic Times, The Mint, Firstoost and Moneycontrol. He remains a frequent flier and shares the good, the bad, and the ugly about the Indian aviation industry without fear or favour.
He is also a passionate biker. He has been riding super-bikes since 1984. Currently owns a Harley Davidson and a BMW motorcycle and regularly tours around India. He recently completed a 15 day trip across the Himalayas and in November 2020 rode 11,500 kilometres from Kanyakumari to Kashmir back to Kanyakumari in an effort to raise awareness about safe travelling during the Covid pandemic.
A noted foodie and wine enthusiast. Authored a book titled “Wines Demystified”. Founder of The Wine Connoisseurs, and The Rotarians Wine Fellowship of India. An Officier in The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the oldest and largest gastronomic society in the world.
